SUSTAINABILITY

Teak trees develop also huge oxygen, due six hundred and sixty-seven teak trees absorb some 22 tonnes of CO2 per year. That’s why our farm built a better weather conditions for this world.

Our 33 years taking care and helping with the growing of this nature treasure is our answer to the climate contribution.

The soils in the Quevedo region are rich in nutrients, enabling resource-friendly maintence without the addition of toxins. This farm is 365 meters above sea level, and it is plenty of water all the year because of its location at the riverside of San Pablo river. It is important to say that 40 hectares are equipped with irrigation tubes, and it also has ground water available everywhere. The farm is also perfect to have fish as tilapia, and natural ponds can be setup easily. It is remarkable to say that:

  • Everything has been grown ecologically.
  • Without chemical products.

Usually, we have 6 month raining season and 6 month dry season. The access road is in good condition. As alternative, the shareholders can accept proposals to harvest the trees in a joint venture agreement. Our plantations are not threatened by extreme weather events such as tsunamis or hurricanes. On the contrary: ideal climactic conditions all year round in terms of temperature and rainfall ensure stability, both for:

  • The wide variety of trees.
  • And your investment.

Thanks to the good working conditions and above-average wages we offer, our employees are always motivated and highly committed to looking after the trees. There is additional potential in the strong domestic economy, wich drives demands for our high quality products.

  • Furniture.
  • Boards, logs and beams.
  • Luxury teak and bamboo boxes.
  • Wood investments hold their value, and are profitable and ecologically worthwhile.

The conservation of nature

Our philosophy

We protect and respect the environment, planting wood forests in our farm near Quevedo – Ecuador.

We have two tropical forests located near Quevedo – Ecuador, 27 and 33 years old, where teak, bamboo, fustic, other hardwoods
and medicinal trees grow.

We make an active contribution to protecting the environment, because every tree planted helps to improve the global carbon footprint and
we have 2 wood farms with 80 ha and 40 ha.

Six hundred and sixty-seven teak trees absorb some 22 tonnes of CO2 per year. This is equivalent to the CO2 emissions created
by driving a car for 96,000 km at a fuel consumption of 10 l/100 km.

Teak the queen
of woods

Teak is the queen of the woods for its magnificent natural durability and dimensional stability – A best known hard wood-. It has an antiseptic resin that makes it resistant to attacks by various organisms, as termites or fungi.

It is currently one of the best known tropical woods in the market and has many uses, as ship building for it´s permeability, house construction, outdoor  and indoor furniture, decks and balconies.

Bamboo is the fastest growing plant on the planet. It can grow 3 feet in height in 24 hours under appropriate climate conditions (well irrigated always) also can grow on different altitudes and under various climate conditions, but it prefers tropical climate. Therefore our weather conditions and location at the river San Pablo provides the ideal conditions for this marvelous forest.

It´s strong, resistance and flexibility make it a perfect wood for building houses even earthquake resistant, roofs and luxury handycrafts.
